PACK PRINT 2019 hits a record number of visitors

C. ILLIES (Thailand) registered a significantly increased amount of Asian companies interested in investing in packaging and printing machinery

This year’s edition of the biggest packaging and printing trade fair in Asia, PACK PRINT, registered a record number of visitors and exhibitors. According to the organizers, more than 19.000 visitors and 300 exhibitors from 58 countries came to Bangkok to experience the latest developments in the printing and packaging industry; as well as to meet industry experts, customers and partners.  The official reports after the event indicated that numerous dealings and a record number of sales transactions were secured during the 4 days of the trade show.

Our colleagues from C. ILLIES Thailand and their partner companies, including some of the biggest industrial players such as Kodak, Komori, Kolbus, KAMA and several other companies, were also very satisfied with their participation. Meetings with both old and new customers from India, China, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia and other countries were held during the event. Almost 500 persons were counted as having visiting the ILLIES booth, exclusively making many new business contacts and appointments with success.

The demonstration of the exhibited KOLBUS packaging machine AUTOBOX Boxer also attracted the attention of numerous visitors. The machine is easy to operate and manufactured to run with short completion times.

Representatives from the partner companies KOMORI CORPORATION, KAMA GmbH, Manugraph India Ltd., KOLBUS GmbH & Co. KG, KOLBUS TRADING MALAYSIA SDN.BHD, Heiber und Schröder, MECCANOTECNICA S.p.A., Kodak, Miraclon Singapore Pte. Ltd., SERIA Corporation, Sitma machinery and Contitech Print Service(S) Pte. Ltd.  were actively consulting customers and interested visitors regarding technical innovations and new packaging and printing machinery. During the trade fair a seminar themed “Workflow in the Cloud” was held as side event by representatives from Eastman Kodak Company.

According to the Thai Printing Association and the Thai Packaging Association, the reported printing and packaging industrial value in Thailand in 2018, increased to more than 300 billion Baht: 40 % came from the printing industry and 60 % from packaging. The 3 main business sectors that have been driving growth are Food and Beverage, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics, and e-Commerce (Source: Press release, May 2019, Pack Print International).

The next PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL for Southeast Asia will take place from 22-25 September, 2021.
